Yogic Philosophy
Research increasingly shows that yoga is not only physically beneficial but it also helps rebuild healthy neuropathways in our brains that have been affected by relational wounding, stress and trauma.
Yes, yoga really is that powerful! It can help us heal and grow in ways that other methods can’t.
Yoga goes beyond words and helps you develop your interoceptive and proprioceptive skills which will deepen your relationship to your body, therefore increasing your felt sense of safety and confidence. The movements, breathwork and mindfulness of yoga creates access to the vagus nerve which is the primary nerve involved in regulation of the autonomic nervous system - when your nervous system is regulated, your energy will be steadier and you will FEEL so much better!
With your permission, I will introduce you to some yoga poses, sequences and teachings as it applies to your life now. We will use both the physical and philosophical elements of yoga to help us explore how symptoms, belief systems, attachment injuries and traumas are held in your body, below your level of conscious awareness. When we can bring what’s living unconsciously in your mind, body and soul to the surface we can heal and release it and you will grow and expand!
